Behind that smile: you never had a choice

Genre: Romance, Comedy
IMDB: 6.7
Notable Cast:
1) Ryan Reynolds
2) Sandra Bullock
3) Betty White
4) Mary Steenburgen
5) Malin Akerman
6) Oscar Nunez

This is my first (of many, hopefully) movie reviews and I haven’t thought of a structure yet so I’ll just stick to something simple and grow as I watch more movies

What I liked about it:

I’m a sucker for rom-coms and this show tickled my funny toes and gave me slight feelings of cuteness (you know that feeling when you see something really cute and go AWWWW). This show was definitely more comedic than it was romantic but I have no complaints. Reynolds, Bullock and White nailed their roles perfectly and it was an absolute joy to watch the banter and tease between the lead cast.

What could have been better:

As mentioned, it would definitely have been nicer if there was more screen time showing the development of the romantic relationship between Andrew and Margaret. And it is kinda unrealistic to fall in love with your boss/underling in 3 days, although it can be argued that they already had some sort of chemistry for the past 3 years. Also the unresolved tension between Andrew and his father sorts of leaves a curious aftertaste as to how the business legacy thing would be happened

Overall score: 6

Strong Desire to watch it again: Nope
Want to watch it again: Maybe
Wouldn’t mind watching it again if my girlfriend asks: Definitely

Currently trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. When I am not doing that, I code, read some books, chill, watch movies and write about stuff
